Omar Puebla´s ongoing research are based on the one hand in collaborations with people who live in peripheral zones, on the other hand, in the strategies used by peddlers to market their products. That exchange of knowledge with common people is returned like art actions, urban projects, and others. For example, Puebla´s performances use public transportation as a metaphor of struggle implied by living in the artistic world. Moreover, his community collaborations are focused on improving public spaces and quality of life. In particular, he has worked with elderly people, grafitiers and neighbors in projects that mix art practices with ordinary people´s daily routines.Puebla combines both art and social practices. He lives and works in Quito-Ecuador. He has been showing his work since 1999 in galleries, museums and events from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, EEUU, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Spain and Switzerland.
