Masoumeh Pourbasirat
I hold an academic degree in Architecture and began studying traditional Persian painting
fifteen years ago under the guidance of Master Jahanbin. My artistic journey started with
drawing and learning the fundamental principles of Persian miniature painting. I continued my
practice using gouache techniques, focusing on detailed line work, point techniques, and
classical compositions. Over time, my work expanded to include Gol-o-Morgh (flower and bird)
subjects and monochromatic paintings executed in gouache and watercolor. Later, I explored
acrylic painting while maintaining the essence of Persian artistic traditions. During the past
decade, I have participated in numerous exhibitions, developed my professional career, and
gained valuable artistic experience. Alongside my studio practice, I have taught painting
courses for teenagers, sharing the foundations of Persian art with younger generations.
