My name is
Elena, I am 27 years old, and I have the heart of a creator and the brain of a
producer.
If my journey
as an artist can be described as a tapestry woven from diverse threads of
inspiration, travelling has been the leader thread that stitched it all
together. Having lived, studied and worked in four countries – Italy,
Australia, France, and Japan – has given me ample breath and insight into human
nature, the natural world, and artistic practices.
During the
years I have developed different artistic projects, among which an eight-year
in the making itinerant project – I illustrate and draw my adventures in travel
journals – and a short series of acrylic paintings. and a short series of
acrylic paintings. I mainly work with graphite, watercolours and acrylic paints.
I sometimes also make use of digital means. When I paint, I prefer to work with
colour blocks, following a 2D illustration style. My objective is to craft a
surreal and mysterious atmosphere, hinting at a spiritual reality beyond ours,
and I concentrate on the relationship between nature and humans in their
primordial and lost form. I want my paintings to feel unsettling, to make
viewers wonder, while remaining visually accessible to everyone.
I also have
several professional experiences as a creative producer and project manager, as
I have worked for Atelier Biagetti, a multidisciplinary design studio, and Balich
Wonder Studio. In 2021, I participated in the organisation and management of
the FOCUS Art Fair contemporary art fair in Paris, and I also worked in the
studio of Alexandre Lenoir, who is represented by Almine Rech. In 2020, I
co-founded the NGO El Camí de la Solidaritat, of which I am the Creative
Project Manager.
