Born and raised on the tropical French island Martinique, I am a self taught artist.
My paintings have now gain a respectable reputation and have been exhibited in Belgium, Germany, Martinique, USA, Spain, France, Senegal and the Chelsea Royal Biennale in London, my paintings are inspired by the Caribbean and European culture.
“My passion was discovered since a young age and came to surface in 2003 in Bristol. Everything that surrounds me, my feelings, passions or dreams are an inspiration. I like diversity, and why my paintings are created in a single specimen”.
“My imagination must always be in turmoil, it has always pushes me to research, innovate and change.
Repetition bores me. I am constantly self-criticising myself to improve both in life and in my activities.
I love Abstraction because it puts in a flutter to every sense of the viewers and it requires more mental gymnastics to understand the artwork.
Been innovative, allows me during this pandemic to discover a new technique of painting which put in evidence some dots from the knitting practice. This new technique without a paintbrush is still in exploration to find more dots from the knitting practice.
