Chiara Piglione portrays fantastic and dreamy worlds in her artistic works.
Dreams and fairytales are what inspires her. Her photos are made of sensations,
memories, perfumes and her artistic work comes from the need to tell what she
feels deep down, the emotions she experiences every day.
Nature is
often central in her photographs, being the bond with nature very strong in her
imaginary. Her works cannot be placed in a precise time, but in a timeless
time. For the same reason they do not have the contrasts and vivid colors of
photography, but pastel colors and textures that make them similar to
paintings.
Maria
Chiara Piglione graduated with full marks from the Polytechnic of Turin in
2006, subsequently obtaining the title of PhD in 2009. After working a few years
in the field of chemical engineering she feels the need to stop her career as
an engineer to devote herself full time to the world of photography. For five
years she has been combining her work as a portraitist to the artistic
production, which is becoming the focus of her work. She has exhibited her
projects in Italy, in solo and group exhibitions.
A selection of her work is represented by Galleria Fabiani Arte, Montecatini Terme (PT). Lives and
works in the province of Turin.
