I have always had the impulse to draw since I was a child, then when I grew up I made it a job.
I converted my creative passion into the profession of fashion designer. I have always followed with interest everything that developed my aesthetic sense, from design to art.
As artist, I investigate the female universe, its potential, the generating force it represents and of which it is an immensely active part even if not always aware. With my work I try to sensitize the female and male hemispheres to fight and overcome gender discrimination.
I am also attracted to geometric abstraction, as it stimulates my intellectual part.
Furthermore, the pure reflection on form and color create a direct bridge with my emotions and connecting me with my most intimate part.
When I’m connected with this part I’m able to find and maintain my psycho-physical balance.
In my work, research and experimentation play a crucial role. I use different techniques in relation to the themes and subjects I want to connect. In my paintings I use oil, acrylic, charcoal, graphite pencil, photographs, collage paper, digital painting.
My supports are canvas and paper.
My subjects represent portraits of women, with dehumanized features and characterized by impassivity. Well-defined faces are combined with graphic interventions or geometric shapes. In other visions the images of faces seem to dissolve into a monochromatic palette, overwhelming the descriptive style of the figuration and touching areas of abstraction.
In pure abstraction I love to combine opacity and transparencies among geometric shapes, usually made with vivid shades. I am obsessed by circle forms and spheres, and all it’s rounded. I try to convey dynamism and equilibrium in my compositions.
In 2013-2014 I studied Drawing and Painting with the Italian artist Antonio Lovison. In 2016 I attended the professional course of Fashion Illustration by London College of Fashion taught by the artist Ana Stankovic-Fitzgerald. In 2017 I attended the training short course of Contemporary Drawing and Painting by Central Saint Martins Of London with the artist Guy Noble. Currently I’m enrolled at the department of visual art and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice studying Painting with the artist Luca Reffo and Drawing with the artist Luca Bendini.
