Li Shuo Phoebe (b.2004) based at Los Angeles/Shenzhen/Hong Kong, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Her artistic practice mainly involves the use of installations, sculptures and images, focusing on the transformation and alienation of the human body by contemporary social forms as "double-edged knives". Between geometric and organic forms, her works often transform and reconstruct the body to discuss the discipline of the social system on the individual and the collective, and the vulnerability of the individual to the loss of subjectivity. On the other hand, the work takes "reality" as a model, through the integration of unique material and conceptual fields, to show the conceptual flow of people in the face of social change, and to explore how individuals accept and challenge institutional hegemony through the plasticity of the body.
