Andrea Pescio was born in
Novara in 1972, where he still lives and works.
Following a Salesian education,
he attended the Felice Casorati Art School in Novara and then the painting
courses at Brera Academy in Milan.
For a number of years, he
worked with LASABUI studio in Novara as fabric designer and decorator
collaborating with famous Italian and European fashion brands.
He decided to increase
his artistic activity and began to exhibit his works.
In 2009 Palazzo Boglietti
in Biella hosted his first solo exhibition.
"Le trame infinite
del segno" curated by Angelo Mistrangelo received good critique and the very
individual trait immediately brought him to the attention of many collectors.

2018, the work titled “In atto di reciproca minaccia”, ball pen on canvas, was chosen by the prestigious Foundation VAF Stiftung
zur Forderung der Italienischen Kunst der Gegenwart, based in
Frankfurt, for its
own collection “Collezione d’Arte Italiana” at MART, Contemporary
Art Museum in Trento and Rovereto.
In addition,
he created some ink on panels for literature works published by important
Italian publishing houses (Utet, Mondadori, Lazzarelli).
Engaged with
social and adult psychiatric matters, for two years he collaborated with the
art lab established by the National Health Department of Novara.
He took part in the Psychiatric
Conference “Exilium, dal Folle allo Straniero, per un’antologia dell’esclusione” curated
by Doctor Domenico Nano, where the works created with the youngsters of the
therapeutic community were exhibited.
