Stephen
Paul

Stephen Paul was born in England, went to high school in Toronto and University in Michigan where he studied Fine Art and Mathematics. He spent some years living in and painting the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the high plains deserts of the southwest and The Grand Canyon. He worked in LA with Stephen Douglas in the early 80's and later with Paolo Soleri at Cosanti where he ran the bronze sculpture program. 

Stephen worked at SPECTR Studios in New York in the 90's before moving to Brooklyn and founding Madarts Studios in 2003 and The Giacobetti-Paul Gallery in 2008.

In 2010 he moved to the South of France where he organized Le Festival d'Art Contemporain and continued to manage Madarts.

Stephen has exhibited extensively throughout his career and has been awarded many prizes and residencies. He currently works and lives in Provence.
