I
am a restorer and a painter. Ever since I was a child I used to spend
my time in artisanal laboratories experiencing the smell and the
touch of traditional matters as plaster, casein, lime, linen oil,
sands. I am inspired by Nature, Venice, the Lagoon and the rural
landscapes surrounding me. My artpieces are not always driven by a
precise intention, I love playing with matters and colors and observing the dynamic relation among materials. I experiment new techniques
with unprejudiced freedom to explore, to silence, to listening to the
noises coming from my brush. My pieces reveal themselves during their
creation, as in a huge puzzle. A sort of alchemy that becomes
experience and magic for the spectator. I look for the right place
for a color and then, layer by layer, the matter explodes and reveals itself. I wish to offer my world and bring people into my
journey with authenticity and reassurance. My artpieces are not
intended to shock nor to provoke but to evoke and to reassure with
beauty. I believe that Art is a key factor to face this hystorical
moment, we need it and we deserve it.
