As a Turkish - French citizen I studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art - Olivier de Serre, in the sculpture-metal department in Paris. I continued my education at the Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle University in the stage and costume design department and received my second undergraduate diplome in 2016.
Starting from 2016, I worked as a set and/or costume assistant in major theatres in London ( National Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Lizzie Props). I also had the opportunity to work as a stage manager in “Mary Stuart” play, directed by.Robert Icke, in which Juliette Stevenson played the major role.
I was the costume designer of “Malcolm X” at the Flemish Royal Theater in Brussels and then worked as a set and costume
assistant in "Nocturnal Symposium". The same play was performed again in Turkey at the 2018 IKSV Theater Festival, where I undertook the revision of the costumes of Turkish actors.
Last year I accomplished the stage and costume design of Jessica Fanhan's play "Belle Dame", which had its world premiere
at the Varia Theatre in Brussels in September 2023.
After achieving my first feature film experience with Görkem Yeltan's movie "Bağcık" in 2017, I became the art director of Céline Baril's first mid-length feature film "Une femme à la mer " in 2021. Then, in 2022 I was the art director of the movie "Inpaintings" directed by Ozan Yoleri. This film was supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and TRT, and won the NEPTAC
Award in Tallin Black Nights Festival, and also the Best First Film at the Istanbul Film Festival.
In addition to my career in theatre and cinema, I also continue to work as an artist. I participated in a collective exhibition Art Weeks Istanbul in 2022 with the Mixer Gallery. My work "Disproportionate" won the competition “41. Akbank Günümüz Sanatçıları - the 41. Today’s Artists” in 2023, and was exhibited in this occasion in Istanbul.
This year I participated in a feminist group exhibition “in pieces” with two women artists, in Merdiven Art Space Gallery in Istanbul.
Latley, my "Grief" serie was selected for the exhibition Mamut Art Project in May 2024.
As someone educated in different fields of art, and belonging to two different cultures, I aim to blend all my knowledge and experience to produce more fruitful works, and be a universal artist, that's why being part of the Arte Laguna Prize would be very important for my career.
