I was born in 1972 in Goyang, South Korea.
After graduating from Sun-Hwa Art High School, I studied oriental painting at
Hongik University. Also, when I studied animation directing at the Korean
Academy of Film Arts in 2010, I co-directed the feature-length animation 'The
House'. For 10 years, I was CEO of 'Solgurum Media Zone' company to work on
commercial animations. I had artist residencies in the US and Korea. Since I
moved to Seattle from Korea in 2017, my perspective on people and life has
changed. I realized my identity as an Asian and immigrant woman here, but I
feel closer to my identity as an artist in the world. I was focusing on my
artistic career in painting and performing arts in Seattle post-COVID pandemic.
Also I had my 8th solo exhibition after I moved to New York in 2024.
WHO I AM
I am a visual artist who lives in New York and creative world.
