During the years I made a series of “sculpt-paintings” where I try to represent remnants, artifacts or situations that will be found in an imaginary but possible future, thousands of years from now.Remnants of our current era in which we produce oceans of waste, living in a superficial manner with no respect for the environment; without realizing that we are guests in a planet we have been mistreating for too long, showing no care for it, for ourselves and for our heirs.Consumerism and pollution erode us both physically and intimately: in our way of thinking, in our way of relating to ourselves and to others, to nature. The separation from "Mother Earth" brought us to a less and less awareness of who we are, of why we exist and of where we want to go.The surface of things and the superficiality of thoughts are in contrast with the power of the vortex, of the air, of the concretion of sediments, which through their vital energy will inexorably stay there forever. It's an awareness that all of us should reach for being back (or finally reaching) to a true "golden age", but a genuine gold not made of plastic. These works are made by acrylic colors, garbage (not organic), plastics, paper pulp and leaves on canvas.
