Panagiotopoulou

Alexia Panagiotopoulou is a Greek visual artist and fine-art photographer based in Brussels, Belgium. With an early background in drawing and painting, her photographic practice retains a strong painterly sensibility, moving between representation and abstraction.

Working with photography, Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), long exposure and experimental photographic processes, she explores movement, light, time and perception. Her ongoing project Flows, inspired by Heraclitus’ idea that “everything flows,” investigates transformation and the constantly shifting relationship between the visible world and our perception of it.

Landscapes, natural elements, reflections and human presence become fluid visual experiences in which forms dissolve, overlap and re-emerge. Rather than describing the world literally, her images suggest and evoke, inviting viewers to slow down, look beyond immediate appearances and experience familiar subjects in new ways.

Her work has been presented in Belgium and internationally and is held in private collections. In 2026, she was selected for Portraits d’Auderghem, the photography competition organised by the Municipality of Auderghem, with the selected works exhibited at the Centre d’Art de Rouge-Cloître in Brussels. She was also selected for the 101 Art Book: Nature Edition by the Arts to Hearts Project (USA), while her work Threshold received an Official Selection in Fine Art – Landscape at the International Photography Awards (IPA) 2026, USA.

She is a member of Art Perspectives International (API), an international network of visual artists based in Brussels.

Alongside her artistic practice, she has a professional background in information technology and project management. While developing a career in the field of IT, art has remained a constant presence in her life and an essential space for exploration and expression.
