Natallia grew up in Minsk, Belarus. Her career as an artist began at an early age. At the age of 14 she went to art school, where she studied sculpture, painting and drawing with a classical approach. At a young age, she moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands and continued her art studies. She studied at HKU Utrecht, the Rietveld academy and the Breitner academy in Amsterdam. She studied modern approaches to art in the Netherlands. In this way she combines a classical and contemporary approach to art in her work.
While studying at the Breitner academy she took part in group student exhibitions not only in Amsterdam, but also in Berlin.
A huge influence on Natallia's work has been her background.
Her father is Ukrainian and her mother has Polish roots, while Natallia herself grew up in Belarus and moved to the Netherlands in her youth. Her work is influenced by a mixture of Eastern and European cultures. Her work reflects a balance between strict, calm and something bright and impulsive.
Natallia explores herself and her place in the world through color and patterns. Through those, she conveys her emotions by looking at countless different patterns, putting them together and stitching them together. Natallia works with patterns from the past, present and also creates new ones, so the viewer can see different temporal spaces. Natallia perceives herself in the free space of color and numerous patterns. Stories of life itself through different patterns of Eastern and European cultures.
In her work Natallia uses strong contrasting colors, thus evoking strong emotions of sensuality and expressive depth. She is inspired by the endless archives of social media patterns. She draws inspiration from the past, but her themes are certainly contemporary.
