Donia Ouertani is a 24 years old designer living in the Lyon region of France. She studied at the Higher School of Art & Design in Saint-Etienne and obtained a DNAP (Bachelor) and a DNSEP (Master) diplomas after five years of studies. She is sensitive to crafts and she is interested in ethics of production in favor of sustainable design. She likes creating links between narration, poetic of shapes and uses. Not only has she learned about wood, metal, ceramics and resin works but also developed thermoforming, molding, assembling technics discovered with craftmen during different collaborations. She attributes importance to handmade work, material and its blends and technics.
During the International Design Biennale of Saint-Etienne, she exhibited collaborative works and sold handmade products made at workshops at the Official Biennale shop. After graduation, between July 2017 and January 2018, she exhibited at Fracas gallery in Brussels, Belgium, before starting an internship in Lyon for Magic Circus Éditions.
