Hiroki
NISHINO

Hiroki NISHINO is a researcher-practitioner in creative technologies.

He has a significant interest in both computer science research and creative practices in computer music, media art. While his Ph.D. thesis focused on the design and development of programming languages for creative coding, he also has a broad research background, which include digital arts, computer music, augmented reality and interaction design, etc.

He received a Ph.D. in Integrative Sciences and Engineering from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2014. Before transferring to NUS, he studied computer music and digital art at the DXArts Ph.D. program, University of Washington, Seattle.

Both of his research works and artworks have been presented at various international conferences and festivals, sometimes receiving international and domestic awards (see www.hnishino.com for the detail).

He is currently serving as an associate professor at the School of Information, Kochi University of Technology, Japan
