Pierre-Alix Nicolet was born in France in 1991. From 2009 to 2012, he studied stone carving, and from this initial contact with sacred monuments and architecture, a first interest in art emerged. A parenthesis opens following his training with a two-year consecutive journey to South America, where he lived for several months in contact with an indigenous tribe in the Amazon.
After his return to Europe, he settled in Italy (Carrara), where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. He worked simultaneously for various sculpture workshops, strengthening his sculptural training through a rigorous apprenticeship in traditional techniques. Putting his skills to use, he later collaborated with various international artists and as a copyist for historical monuments (Louvre).
Today, Pierre-Alix Nicolet continues his pursuit of a unique artistic vision through the synthesis of sculpture, photography, and drawing. Using traditional techniques, he explores the boundaries of contemporary expression, acknowledging the uninterrupted cyclicality of art history. This multidisciplinary approach allows him to develop an innovative and personal artistic language, resonating with both past traditions and the challenges of our time.
