Nicole Jutka is a Romanian-born visual artist, educator, and designer, currently based between Düsseldorf and Bucharest. Her artistic journey began under the pressure of a totalitarian regime, where resistance took many forms – from failed escape attempts to public protest. This formative experience shaped her commitment to artistic freedom and social dialogue.
Her work combines language, conceptual depth, and emotional intensity, investigates themes such as identity, memory, transformation, human fragility.
“The similar expressive line could rightly be identified as one of the typical features of the new painting in its artistic perception and artistic character. Jutka works with a significant coloristic emphasis, fluorescent references and artistic feeling are also noticeable." Dr. Peter Markovič, Art Historian, Curator of the Löffler Muzeum Kosice/Slovakey
