Biography
Britta Neumärker (Pilbri®) is a German contemporary artist working at the intersection of painting, photography, and hybrid visual processes.
With over two decades of artistic practice, her work explores perception, inner landscapes, and the subtle structures that shape human experience.
Her artistic approach is rooted in a personal shift in vision following an accident, which profoundly altered her way of seeing. This experience led her to develop a visual language that moves between clarity and fragmentation, stillness and transformation. Rather than illustrating reality, her work creates spaces of resonance—inviting viewers to engage with what is often intangible and internally felt.
Neumärker’s practice combines painterly gestures with photographic elements and layered structures, resulting in works that oscillate between material presence and perceptual depth. Her hybrid compositions reflect on the relationship between inner states and external systems, often referencing networks, geological formations, and cognitive processes.
Working under the registered artist name Pilbri®, she positions her work within a contemporary discourse that connects art, perception, and human awareness.
Her works have been presented in international contexts and recognized through various art prizes and curatorial reviews.
