I am a digital painter based in Milan, Italy. As a self-taught artist and a former development specialist who worked for thirty years in international cooperation, I found in painting a means for both introspective research and a broader reflection on contemporary issues and human trajectories.

I have been organising my works in thematic series including: NEW WORLDS / Portraying the ambition to colonize other planets and the creatures that might exist over there; OPEN / I open breaches in nets, fences and walls as a symbolic act to question prevalent trends and provoke reflection on alternative futures; SUPERNATURAL / In my explorations, I come across supernatural beings; some of them are gentle and caring while others are evil, similarly to the characters of classical myths and traditional legends; VIVID GARDENS / These are my personal playgrounds, vibrant spaces which give me energy and new stimuli; and WAR / There are only guns and ruins in this series, ruins and guns.

‘Meeting the unknown’ is the common thread and current focus of my productions. Considering the turmoil and uncertainty of present times, where are We - the global community - going? I echo this question through my paintings as a call to do more in pursuing common goals for the well-being and prosperity of all, against a widespread tendency to use arrogance and force to impose solutions that only benefit some.
