Bio:
I’m a Swedish/Tanzanian artist, born in 1996, and a recent graduate with a Master’s degree from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. My work, rooted in mixed media and installations, explores themes of inherited trauma, separation and transmittable diseases like HIV and drug abstinence from birth. I am particularly interested in the complex dynamics of the mother-child relationship and the fine line between care and violence. Drawing from a personal, documentary material, I view art as a compression chamber—a treatment for recovery, providing the necessary oxygen we need to live.
