For years, he collected thousands of corks used in restaurants, by friends, family and neighbors, with which he creates impressive works.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and since the '80s he has lived in one of the neighborhoods with the most personality in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires: Villa Lugano. He is 75 years old and was a model and footwear designer for decades. Passionate about art, his ARMENIAN roots mark his retail identity, making handmade, unique and personalized pieces.
Since 2019 he has been working creating art with this 100% recyclable, resistant and flexible product. An element that is common, familiar and representative of one of the great Argentine prides: wine.
Draw the large-scale sketches and then begin to separate each of the corks by shades, type of material and shape to generate depth of lights and shadows.
His works require hundreds and he found in them a noble material to create different figures, especially musical instruments. With a charisma that especially conquers music lovers, guitars, pianos, harps and wind instruments coexist in his workshop.
Detailed and meticulous work that he shares through his Instagram account, where in addition to disseminating his art, he projects an ecologically responsible citizen initiative.
