ARISA NIWA ("BOJYO" embroidery)

I spent junior high and high school in Hong kong, then moved to Italy, studied at Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (Art Academy in Rome, Italy). I originally started my career as a painter from 1998, acquired experience in art activities mainly exhibitions and competitions. After several years of twists and turns, chance encounter with hand-embroidery fueled the spark of my imagination. Since then, I’ve been repeating experiments combining painting with hand-embroidery in my own way. While being wrapped in peculiar dampness and murmuring mood in everyday life, I spend my time shaping vivid weird images that unexpectedly come to my mind. I love fingertip creations more than anything...!!
