Sonoko Nakajima is a Japanese visual artist based in Japan. She has long been involved in the field of education, where she explored the human mind and memory through artistic approaches. Her creative practice centers on minimalist expressions using paper, ink, and lines to evoke emotional undercurrents and subconscious landscapes. In addition to her abstract works on paper, she also creates oil paintings, maintaining a consistent inquiry into the invisible dimensions of human experience.
Nakajima’s work has been exhibited in various shows in Japan and internationally. In 2025, she will participate in the New York art fair Art on Paper, represented by Perseus Gallery. Through her art, she aims to offer quiet reflections that engage with memory, inner dialogue, and psychological depth.
