Meta Mramor was born on 29th May 1998 in
Ljubljana, Slovenia. After graduating at Gimnazija Bežigrad secondary school in
Ljubljana, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the
University of Ljubljana where she specialized in Glass and Ceramics. In 2020
she was awarded a Bachelor’s degree of Arts with summa cum laude in the field
of Glass. In 2020 she enrolled in the Master’s programme of Applied
Arts in Academy in Ljubljana, under the mentorship of prof. Tanja
Pak.
She spent Winter semester 2021/2022 on a student
exchange at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in Czech
Republic in the Studio of Glass, under the mentorship of prof. Rony
Plesl. At the moment, she is on a student exchange at the Burg Giebichenstein
University of Art and Design Halle in Germany in the department of Image
Space Object Glass. In May 2022 she took part in an art residency Rise of women in culture in Western Balkans in Zadar, Croatia.
Since 2019 she has been working as a demonstrator in the Studio of Glass at the Academy.
