Art has always accompanied Carlos Augusto Motta's path. From a young age, he created self-portraits in graphite and charcoal, showing a deep passion for art. He started as an illustrator and ventured into the fashion industry, introducing a new art form he called "Paper Sculptures," gaining significant media attention. In the late '90s, he graduated in Fine Arts and integrated architecture into his art. Despite his diverse journey, Carlos never abandoned painting and found success in the art market. His works reflect personal and professional experiences through his visionary aesthetic. He established his first atelier in Rio de Janeiro in the early 2000s, meticulously repurposing materials and hosting permanent exhibitions. Today, Carlos resides in Europe, calling Braga, Portugal, home, represented by @zet.gallery. He remains connected to nature, emphasizing material preservation and recycling, even using discarded materials for his creations. The artist invites us to discover a world of enchanting transformations, turning what was once questionable and intriguing into something magical and simply fascinating.
