French sculptor specializing in clay work trained at the « École des Beaux-Arts » in. Lille. Her approach is essentially figurative, often involving live modeling sessions that give her sculptures a deep emotional authenticity.
She draws inspiration from classical italian masters (Bernini, Michelangelo) and french sculptors (Rodin, Carpeaux) while bringing a contemporary sensitivity shaped in part by her literary background. She taught french for many years. Her sculptures are delicate and refind, yet charged with subtile tensions : beauty and anger, sensuality and suffering coexist, expressed through complex forms that reveal the misteries of the soul.
With a personnal style that merges classicism and modernity. Moon Billard explores identity, emotion and inner conflict through the evocatrice power of clay.
