"I love God. I offer my work for the peace of the world, so all of us can convert our hearts into true love through beauty and Divine Mercy. In the Immaculate Heart of Mary. FIAT!"
Carmen Judith Montaño Valencia, a Mexican artist whose work is deeply rooted in Catholic faith and spiritual service. She Born in 1984 in Guadalajara, Valencia began her artistic journey at the age of seven. Prestigious masters, including the National Watercolor Prize winner Emilio Galindo Daudum and Rev. Heinrich Pfeiffer, a renowned expert in Christian art history from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome trained her. Her artistic vocation is inseparable from her faith. Early experiences in rural missions across Mexico and pilgrimages to Latinamerica and European Marian shrines shaped the human and spiritual meaning of her work. Her philosophy is centered on the "contemplation of the Beauty of the Creator" and a personal relationship with God. She has showcased her work at major venues including the Cabañas Museum (a UNESCO site) and international galleries in the UK and Italy (Milan and Rome). She has painted portraits of several cardinals and Pope Benedict XVI, and has created large-format sacred art for various churches.
At 23, she hosted the television programn lluminarte, where she performed live watercolor painting for an audience spanning 24 countries.
Her expertise extends beyond painting to include sacred iconography, photography, stained glass, and glass mosaic.
Valencia's work serves as a "constant thank you" to the Divine. Through her art, she seeks to reflect hope, mercy, and human dignity, often focusing on the Face of Christ and the themes of the Beatitudes. Her deepest desire is for her art to lead others to know and love God's Will. Amén !
