Visual artist. Born in 1965.He graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1989, under the supervi-sion of prof. Zbigniew Gostomski, prof. Tadeusz Dominik and prof. Ryszard Winiarski. In the years 1993-2003 he was a lecturer at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw as a professor of paint-ing. Currently, he is a painting lecturer at the Faculty of Graphics at the Warsaw school of Information Technology and at the Institute of Fine Arts at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. He is a member and co-founder of the “Otwarta Pracownia Asso-ciation” in Cracow and the founder of the Korekta Gallery in Warsaw. Dariusz Mlącki participated in international plein-air workshops conducted by dr Bożena Kowalska in Okuninka, the Sculpture Cen-ter in Orońsko, Radziejowice. The artist has been awarded numerous scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Batory Foun-dation, the Cultural Foundation, the Egit Founda-tion, and the Polish Cultural Foundation. His works can be found in public collections, including: the Zachęta National Art Gallery in Warsaw, the Ade-nauer Foundation, the Peria Collection, the Center of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, the National Mu-seum in Warsaw, the Elektrownia Mazovia Cen-ter of Contemporary Art in Radom, the Broadway Gallery in New York and in the collection of BWA Bielska Gallery in Bielsko-Biala.He deals with visual arts, painting, painting ob-jects, photography. He is one of the most interest-ing painters of the middle generation in the field of metaphysical and spiritual art. Best known from his art series: Envelopes, Candles, Televisions. The artist uses various supports, such as: cork, plexiglass, old wallpapers. Known for its extraordinary subtlety, poetics and scale of expression.
