Mirzaie

Mehrdad Mirzaie is an Iranian Artist. He received his BFA in photography from Tehran Art University in 2012. Now he is a graduate student in the Master of Fine Art (photography) at Arizona State University. His focus and interest are archives, Image studies, and alternative photography. In the last ten years, he has worked on various archives individually and as a team. These projects have been completed or are still ongoing in research works and art exhibitions. He is also greatly interested in and focused on interdisciplinary studies in art, culture, politics, and society. He is an artist who has been continuously studying images, especially historical/subjective images, for over a decade. In all these years, he either pulled out the primary material of his work from the archives or created archives of particular importance, in his opinion.
