I was born in Madrid to an Italian family of Friulian origin. I lived in Madrid for the first 3 years of my life.My first real conscious contact with art and color occurred at the age of six, in 1976/77 during a year spent in Guatemala for my father's work reasons. The impact with the environment, completely different from the European one, imprinted itself in my memory with the shapes and colors of a distant people and materialized later in a symbolic, colorful and lively pictorial production, which wanted to convey a message of harmony and serenity in a world too often lacking in such fundamental values.I began painting an oil at the age of 15, suddenly, alone, with discrete results, following an internal stimulus. Far from artistic studies, I cultivated my aesthetic taste independently and with passion over the years, discovering my inclinations year after year. The first youthful paintings are reproductions of icons and landscapes with oil colors on canvas, subjects that moved me, allowing me to explore technique, color, personal skills and interiority. As a self-taught artist, I learned an approach to color in line with my experience in Guatemala and my feelings.Later I experimented with spray art, watercolor and mural painting and then I arrived at painting on canvas and panels with acrylic colors, even liquids like ink.Currently the privileged productions are canvases and panels with acrylics, also in mixed technique and digital works produced by processing initial images.Painting made me aware at 20 years old that nothing is as it seems. Reproducing reality in 2 dimensions with color, perspective and chiaroscuro, has changed my mind and my approach to the world and stimulated interest in what is normally hidden from view, especially the interior world.Over the years, motherhood has significantly refined my degree of perception for dear themes: Peace, Spirituality, Harmony and Beauty understood in a broad sense.I continue my artistic research in an attempt to offer artistic works where the form becomes a servant of color, in an attempt to convey immediate, pure, intense emotions.
