Anastasia Mezhanskaya is a New York-based multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of sculpture, performance, and design. Completing her degree in Collaborative Arts at NYU, she explores the expressive potential of puppetry, mask-making, and handcrafted objects through immersive and interactive experiences. Her work bridges traditional craft and contemporary media, often incorporating wood, textiles, and electronics to create animated sculptures and performative installations.
Her practice spans theatrical productions, gallery exhibitions, and experimental films. She has collaborated with Krymov Lab NYC and recently designed and fabricated a Minotaur headpiece featured in Destruction Junket: Urban Mythologies, a group exhibition held in Manhattan as part of a faculty-led project at NYU. Through her work, she investigates how wearable objects can extend the body and create new modes of embodied storytelling.
