Irène Mélix (*1988) is an artist and cultural worker who focuses on queer themes, political history/histories, and border spaces. She studied art and cultural studies in Hildesheim, Dresden, Paris, and Krakow and works at the intersection of social and aesthetic issues. Irène Mélix conducts research in German, Polish, and French archives, teaches at universities, exhibits throughout Europe, and is active in collectives. She currently lives in Dresden and is pursuing a doctorate at the Bauhaus Weimar on methods of queer historiography.
