Mike McKay is a distinguished University Research Professor and an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky College of Design. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky and Master of Architecture from Princeton University. As an artist and designer, his installations, paintings, and mixed media work have been exhibited in Europe and throughout the United States. McKay is a MacDowell Fellow. Previous projects range in scale from urban landscapes to installations and 2-dimensional work. Each contributes to an overall investigation of form in relationship to material assembly, space, and the phenomenon of perspective as constructed mediators of experience.
