Nadia Teresa Mazzocchitti, aka urbanKofa, was born in Bern (Switzerland). It was her grandfather, painter and lover of Impressionism, who transmitted her since she was a little girl interest in visual arts, especially in oil painting. After having lived in several countries, she arrives 2010 in Berlin. The strong impact with the contemporary and urban Art of this city leads her to paint for the first time with spray cans and influenced by the current of Post Graffiti, she immerses herself in the world of Street Art and absorbs the influence of street artists from all over the world. If Berlin influences her with Post Graffiti, Sardinia, where she moves in 2015, deeply influences her with traditions. Her women, portrayed until then in a more playful way, becomes almost intangible, giving at her murals and canvases a language of intimate intonation. She likes to not reveal all details of faces, often covering them, as if to protect them from revealing themselves to the viewer, adding gestures, symbols and colors of different cultures and traditions, giving space to imagination and interpretation. Her works are inspired by global current issues, by the multiculturalism of the countries in which she has lived, worked and traveled and by the peculiarities of the languages she speaks.
