The female body surrounded by the endless elements and ornamentation is the juxtaposition of simplicity and complexity , vulnerability and resilience. For me simplified female figure is the physical illustration of the feeling and the emotion of the moment, the reaction towards the external stimuli; joy, happiness ,Solitude ,despair, rage and lack of safety...
I have been always concerned about the life as a woman; the emotions , struggles, the everyday confrontation with the harsh reality and the world that sometimes becomes too small and suffocating and sometimes wide enough to be lost. But at the end having a role in the process of creation has made us to see the outside world through the lens of hope, an ornamented colorful space no matter how paradoxical it can be.
I aim to illustrate this paradox without cover. Faceless female body in an endless universe. For me this is not just a painting, it is a ritual to find the true sense and connection with the cosmos, to find the closure, an effort to go beyond the limitations.
The paisley pattern, the textile and carpet motives with the Persian origin are the symbols of the world I describe, an existence which begins in the womb and continues to the unlimitedness. Every sculpture, photography, dance and every day movement is my source of inspiration.
And the technique I use makes this process more tangible and approachable and it helps me to partly illustrates the three-dimensional presence in the space. With architecture, I make a reality out of fiction and with Art, I bring the reality into the fiction and this keeps me balanced.
