Aurelius da Vinci (Adrian Matei) is a contemporary visual artist based in Arad, Romania. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from the Faculty of Arts and Design at the West University of Timișoara, underlying his solid academic foundation. His artistic practice is deeply rooted in Bio-Art and structural mixed media, exploring the delicate tension between organic matter and industrial elements. Utilizing natural and reclaimed materials, such as driftwood, alongside metallic components, his work transforms ecological awareness into powerful visual metaphors.
His distinctive vision has gained international recognition, notably receiving a Talent Prize and an Honorable Mention at the prestigious Teravarna international art exhibitions (in the Landscape and Water categories). Through his complex textures and dramatic compositions, he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary environmental art.
