STATEMENT
The profession
of historian and archivist, my personal commitment to culture, art and nature
are the foundations of my artistic projection related to heritage, history,
landscape and nature. The installations that I propose and realize individually
or shared generate idyllic places of confluence with the cosmos. They formulate
a new cultural perception of the landscape and claim a dialogical relationship
of human action with the natural environment.
Cultural
landscapes and natural ecosystems are canvas, motif, material and tool for the
disposition of the facilities. Natural meteors and the use of materials that
nature recycles and decomposes make up the elements of work. Respect for the
location and the renunciation of the imposition of cultural forms that are
alien to the cultural tradition of the place are the essential premises of
work. The search for the symbiosis of human action with natural becoming
translates into several lines of intervention.
The Architecture and Landscape projects
seek the preservation, reconstruction and dissemination of the historical, dry
stone and traditional architectural heritage, the revaluation of the
contemporary rural landscape and the establishment of an artistic relationship
with the nature that welcomes them. The projects of memory and culture gather
the installations and scenography that contextualise episodes of historical
roots and of memorialist and cultural vindication that promote the
understanding between people, peoples and collectives. The proposals for Nature and the Garden explore the
dialogical encounter of contemporary human activity with the cultural landscape
and the natural environment. Happening
and other shared land art actions provide the reunion of people with their
immediate environment. They celebrate, encourage and revitalize the new
recovered places and the tributary land art installations.
