Aîa Mar holds two national records in Freediving for her country Panama. She uses this skill to allow her to connect with marine animals. An explorer and award winning artist, her art and camera are a tool for inspiring people to care for the environment. She lives with her two rescued Tamarin Monkeys: Makō and Sky. They taught her the importance of biodiversity and how to connect with Mother Earth. For the past ten years she has been exploring artistically the elements: air, earth, fire and water. Creating abstract photography from the way the colors and movements of the light particles interact with the camera. These images have won multiple international photography competitions. BioVoyage is her ongoing project to document endangered biodiversity. She translates her experience with nature into contemporary art creating a bridge between scientific research and the public.
