Aimee Mandala was born in Long Beach, California. She earned a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from California State University, Long Beach. While working as an executive for an architecture firm, Mandala embarked on her journey as an artist, working primarily in charcoal and graphite media. Since 2020, her work has been published and exhibited extensively across the US, including the internationally acclaimed LA Art Show, and collected nationwide and globally. Aimee is also an art writer for the US publication Diversions LA. She has found pleasure in writing about her work and other artists and curating and co-curating over two dozen shows over the past three years for the Shockboxx Gallery. In March 2021, she curated an all-female art exhibition during Women's History Month. Said exhibition received rave reviews. In November 2021, Aimee had her first solo show featuring her Craftsman Series at Studio 347 in San Pedro, California. She is currently conceptualizing her next solo exhibition while exploring abstraction.
As an emerging artist on the Los Angeles art scene, Aimee is passionate about conceptually and technically challenging herself and is enthusiastically propelling forward.
