My name is Giorgia Maria Malandrino, I am Italian, currently living in Israel
where I am studying for my MA at the Department of Environment & Earth
Science of Tel Aviv University, investigating the complex relationship
between conflicts and the transboundary dynamics which make the natural
resources a political issue, working with Palestinian, Israeli and Internationals
to cooperatively find solutions to the current global challenges. Besides
my studies, Being a Designer Research for Dalberg Design, a social impact
group working in developing countries was a fundamental experience for
my current life and professional path. Currently, I work as a research intern
for the Arava Institute of Environmental Studies located in the desert in
southern Israel, researching energy poverty and safety. At the same time, I
teach Design methodology at NABA University in Milan, and I am part of the
D&AD Impact Accelerator Program with my project Geoidentity: logging the
border, a universal system for study validation with an academic passport to
preserve one’s identity, which encompasses the objectives outlined in SDG
Target 4.7, including global citizenship education, environmental education,
climate migration, human rights education, focusing on displaced people,
and introducing academic data in passports as a part of our Identity.
