Born in 1989 in Munich to Beate and Thomas Mack. Moved back to Münzenberg, Hesse and grew up there. She showed talent and interest in anything creative - especially drawing - from a very young age, when finger painting her parent's walls. After finishing Highschool in 2008, she went back to Munich where she studied Illustrationd and Graphic Design at "Freie Kunstwerkstatt München" for three year, and graduated with excellent marks. She moved back to her Hometown in Hesse to complete her diploma before she graduated, becoming a real night owl, or vampire sort of creature, by working through the night, sometimes picking up her siblings form parties, and sleeping during most of the day. In 2012, after graduation, Malaika moved to Vancouver, BC where she studied Classical Animation at "Vancouver Film School" for one year, graduating with honours in 2013. She then movedback to Germany, but went to Denmark in 2014 for three months in order to study 3D Character Animation at "The Animation Workshop". She then worked as a freelancer and artist, before starting her job as Creative Director at "TMK Thomas Mack Kommunikation GmbH", where she started introducing explainer Videos and animation as the means of helping clients better understand their compony changes, products and so forth. She continuously works as an artist besides her fulltime job, trying out different mediums, and has been featured in some exhibition, such as the Calvaria Gallery Holiday heART show in New Jersey, and the 30th anniversary exhibition from the "Frauennotruf Wetterau e.v.". Malaika strongly believes in the Art and the Story behind her Artwork as being the most important thing. She wants to transport her stories in specific ways and spends a lot of time researching, testing materials and mediums in order to always improve her skills and stories. She has a very distinctive style and uses of ink similar to watercolors.
