Lyu Jingfeng was born on 1997 in China. He commenced his bachelor's degree program in stage art at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 2018. There, he explored the realm of stage art and masterfully merged painting with the performing arts, culminating in impressive works. His paintings exhibit a profound understanding of gender and the personal sphere, testament to his acute focus on these topics.
"I never attempt to depict my true self since there exists no true self. Rather, I endeavour to express myself with delicacy,"
Lyu defines his creative
process. His proficiency in visualising subtle emotions within different relationships becomes apparent when observing his works. The vivid portrayals of desires and phantoms obscure the line between the tangible and intangible, while simultaneously providing a visual balance between people, objects, and space. This is a valuable space within his personal maze, inviting the audience to explore his inner world.
Lyu Jingfeng takes part in art exhibitions and events across China, especially those concentrating on gender issues. This involvement presents a meaningful opportunity to examine and debate societal concepts through art.
