I was born in a small town, in China, where unsociable girls were always ignored. It is susceptible to being touched by subtle objects and thoughts during quiet daily life; I define my sensibility as a private perspective driven by a growing self-identity and a cherished sense of femininity. 

I have lived in Colorado and San Francisco for the past ten years. Before art, I majored in mathematics, as I still saw a mutual sense in art and math. However, a painting can recreate and even construct a life in an intimate, emotionally cathartic way. As a non-verbal person, this implicit happiness is the reason why I continuously paint.

So I collect and season my desires and memories with personalised fantasy, reformulating them into metaphorical and symbolic presences. This way, I create a scene that I can safely dwell in and let the mood drift. Then, the viewer is freely able to establish an emotional connection to the experience of the own self in a way that is not externally defined.
