From a very young age, Eva-Lynn was fortunate to be introduced to all the arts through her creative mother. Since this early exposure, Eva-Lynn continued to be drawn to the creative process and art making. Upon completing her Bachelor of Arts, followed by an MA in Teaching, Eva-Lynn taught elementary school. With this work and her own life experiences, she realized, more than ever, the deep importance of art making for a child's/person's mental health and her own well being. With this knowledge and passion, Eva-Lynn returned to school for a Masters in expressive art therapy. Shortly after receiving a Masters in Expressive Art Therapy, Eva-Lynn was hired to create and implement a full-time expressive art therapy program at an alternative school in Lynn, Massachusetts. Since moving to the beautiful Monadnock region of New Hampshire in 2004, Eva-Lynn's passion for creating her own art was, happily, reignited every day. There is so much natural beauty in NH that is inspiring. She loves color, frequently uses acrylics and likes adding collage materials when it feels right. Often her artistic vision reflects an image with new colors that show the spirit of the subject rather than how it might, actually, appear. There are times, too, when Eva-Lynn's personal life situations/challenges and/or outside events/social issues move her so deeply that to express these experiences through her art is mandatory for her own release and healing. When others make a connection and are moved through her art, Eva-Lynn is always so deeply touched and grateful. Her paintings have appeared in national and regional juried shows, as well as local exhibits. Eva-Lynn's paintings , also, are part of many private collections from the east to west coasts.
