Of Franco-German origin, born in Strasbourg in 1990, Lou Rat-Fischer grew up in Alsace before leaving to study Fine Arts in Brittany and then in Germany.
She currently divides her time between Auvergne and the many destinations to which her artistic creations take her.
Passionate about nature and biology, Lou Rat-Fischer uses art as an extension of her sensitive perception of the environment. This results in dreamlike visions where fish float in the forest, rain freezes in a museum room and printed pebbles become fossils.
As a visual artist, she employs a variety of techniques, from drawing to installation, fresco, performance and engraving.
Since 2015, she has exhibited her work in Lyon, Tokyo, Ajaccio and Berlin.
