When I was 8 years old my parents are buying me my first
camera. Then, my room is becoming my studio. As a teenager I receive my second
photo camera. The automatism of it is boring me a lot, I am making a few
panoramics, lanscapes of my childhood, in Concarneau, between the sky and the sea.
A few years later a good meeting is leaving in my hands a reflex camera.
I then go by car, one Opel Corsa, for the Monts d’arrée,
calvaries, green areas will be my subject. The following months I will be in
Birmingham in England. My camera would become my pen, my eye, in this
post-industrial city. The ways of leaving are the essential of my work. I then go
travelling around the United Kingdom and its neighbour Ireland, moved by theses
urban universes, in incessant mutations.
These worlds in mouvements become my point of view, which
will bring me in India where I photograph the modernity and the unchanging. In
my last two stays, I realize the serie « Jasmine nights » on indian
night, its turbulence, its bustle and its perfumes.
