My name is Najieh Lotfi. I was born in 1977 in Tabriz, Iran, and I currently live and work in Urmia. I inherited a significant part of my artistic sensibility from my father, who was an architect, and this early exposure to design and structure has deeply influenced my creative approach.
I am a founding member of the Contemporary Arts Development Association and serve as the director, founder, and instructor at the Serv Gallery of Visual Arts. My practice spans painting and mixed media, with a particular focus on acrylic and oil techniques and experimental material combinations.
My work explores the hidden layers of nature, emphasizing texture, erosion, and wood surfaces. I combine organic expressionism and nature-based abstraction, seeking a dialogue between imperfection, fragility, and the transformative potential of materials.
I have participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, national festivals, and international events, including an online international exhibition in Turkey (2024).
