Born in Hong Kong, Sandy
graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with distinction at Singapore
in 2019. With a Bachelor of Business
Administration, Sandy had worked in the field of finance for over a decade and
resided in more than six countries. She is delighted that now she is able to
focus fully on her life long passion of arts. Influenced by the experience of
residing in various countries, her art practice aims to explore the effect of
geographic location on emotions and social behaviour, with a multidisciplinary
approach. Employing literary analysis from global news and quantitative studies
from diverse cultural groups, her subject matter communicates with the
subconscious mind connecting time and ethnicity. While working on the research
and the visual art presentation, she is constantly motived by the outcome to
achieve more throughout self-perception and apprehension of the issue of
identity and feminism in the current post-colonial Southeast Asian context.
She has participated in various exhibitions in Singapore.
